Turbo Tax USED to be a solid way to file your taxes to avoid the price gauge from other companies. However, now they want to charge $150 for a tax refund I completed myself, and had AI check over. I’m confused as to how I need to pay or take out of my refund $150 for something a 12 year old could input and click through. On top of that, you can only file around THEIR time, as their website and app are insanely slow, and won’t let you move on from a step. Just as the other companies and private contractors, turbo tax is a money hungry organization who will do any and everything they can to ring out your pockets before you get your refund.
