User Reviews

User reviews show the HSBC SVNS iOS app delivers sevens news and quick navigation but struggles with reliability and timing. Pros include ease of use, strong graphics, and live-follow features; major cons are broken links, outdated schedules, limited or no live video, confusing new UI, and incomplete fixture coverage. Users want accurate data, full fixtures, and live streaming.
Pros
  • User friendly and easy to use.
  • Great graphics and layout that allow quick navigation to news, players, teams and matches.
  • Follow along live tab updates quickly and accurately.
  • Provides news and information about rugby sevens and events quickly.
Cons
  • Broken links and disorganized navigation; hard to find results and fixtures.
  • Outdated or inconsistent schedules and lack of updates during tournaments; mismatch with website.
  • Lack of live video / limited streaming options; inability to watch live matches.
  • New UI design is hard to read and navigate; many users preferred the old layout.
  • Missing or incomplete fixtures; inability to see all fixtures (e.g., Hong Kong) and times.

Sevens is more than just the championship series. SVNS2 & 3 is important to rugby fans and necessary to build a world wide fan base. Please as to the app.

Why is there an option to subscribe to a calendar to follow your favorite teams, if the subscription is just an inaccurate “all day” event that doesn’t tell you when your teams are playing, what day they’re playing, and what time the day starts? It would be nice if there was some sort of calendar sync so I didn’t have to keep checking the app or website for updates. If you do know when your teams are playing but can’t watch, the follow along live tab is great. It updates pretty quickly and accurately. It’s a great feature.

Worst app I use. Broken links everywhere. Inane headings like “Rugby”. Spent twenty minutes trying to find the final results table for the season. All the links were broken but there were a million video clips of human interest nonsense. This app is a disorganized mess. I give up.
