The pedsMRI app provides pediatric MRI protocols at the finger tips of the user. The intended users that are involved in performing MRI tests in children include pediatric radiologists, general radiologists, MRI technologists, radiology fellows and residents.

This app has a search feature where the user can enter the body part, organ, pathology or suspected abnormality and a list of the possible suitable protocol will be displayed. Click the particular protocol to open it. Each protocol has list of suggested sequences and techniques that can be utilized for the MRI scan in children for the particular disease or body part. Uncommon sequence will have the purpose or usefulness mentioned with it. The protocols can be applied on all 3 major vendor MR scanners (Siemens, Philips and GE) and has sequence trade names. The protocols in the apps will be updated yearly in keeping with ongoing research and developments in the field of MRI.

When I first got this app it worked perfectly for a few weeks. Now, I cannot get past the home page. As soon as I try to click something, it closes out. I have tried to delete the app and redownload it. It’s updated to the current software and my phone is updated. My hospital uses this app for MRI protocols and it makes it hard to do my job. My coworkers also cannot use their app. There has not been any change in its bug for over a year now….needs updating and bug fixes!

It says that this is compatible with my device. I have an iPad Air 5th Gen. It crashes when I try to open it. Maybe it works on Apple phones. But, I don’t have an apple phone, so I don’t know. I can only rate my experience with the app. I have lots of memory and my iPad is updated. I was hoping to interact with this app.
