User Reviews

ConnectSense’s iOS app is praised for a clean UI, easy onboarding, and strong HomeKit compatibility with rich features. However, it is hampered by repeated crashes, unstable pairing, and inconsistent device connectivity. Some reviews note discontinuation of support and limited documentation, while HomeKit reliability varies. Overall, it can be intuitive and feature-rich when it works, but reliability and ongoing support appear to be major drawbacks.
Pros
  • Clean, user-friendly UI/UX that makes it quick to toggle settings and navigate
  • Easy onboarding/setup for ConnectSense devices
  • Strong HomeKit compatibility/open to HomeKit accessories beyond ConnectSense devices
  • Rich features for newer ConnectSense products beyond the HomeKit era
  • Helpful support experiences when contacted (knowledgeable and responsive)
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability (crashes on open, add, update)
  • Unreliable pairing and device connectivity (multiple attempts; devices drop offline)
  • Perceived lack of ongoing support and documentation (discontinuation of product and poor overall support)
  • Inconsistent or problematic HomeKit integration (not always playing well with HomeKit)
  • Flawed add-device flow and UI bugs (save/add dialogs not functioning reliably)
Recent reviews
This app has transformed from a HomeKit app, to one that supports their newer products. Ever since they ditched HomeKit it has been a smoother experience with rich features. If you want HomeKit, just use the Home app.. that is what it is for.
