On the negative development of this app was abandoned years ago and so by extension support for Atom radiometer itself since it only works with this app. On the positive it still works. To all the idiots saying it doesn’t: You have to buy the device first! No app can turn a phone into radiometer. How dumb are you exactly?

With minor exceptions it works fine, is responsive and repeatable. Firstly, you must own one of the detectors! I suspect the previous reviewer tried to detect radiation using just the iPhone & software, without a gamma sensor. WRONG. You must pair your phone or iPad to one of the specified detectors. I use the AtomFast Dosimeter, purchased on eBay. I carry it on my belt everywhere I go. Once in a while, it loses lock with my phone, & I must manually reconnect. The software always beeps when this happens, so I am never offline without warning. I suspect the Bluetooth connection is buggy, but I don’t know if it is the Atom software, the hardware, or the bluetooth standard at fault. Or maybe RF noise in the environment breaks the connection. Highly Recommended!!!

The presented images lie, there is no difference in radioactivity anywhere. I went to the most irradiated location outside my house in the tool shed(some legal uranium), and this “Geiger counter” didn’t pick up a thing from my room to there. Wish I could rate lower than 1 star. Yes, we do have a real heavy duty Geiger counter that we use to count radiation levels, I just downloaded the app so that I can test it out to avoid people getting hurt from a simple app.
