User Reviews

MoonReader is valued for quickly showing void-of-course moons and Mercury retrogrades, with a simple interface. It’s time-zone aware, keeping events in the user’s local time, and provides compact charts that display planetary positions and aspects. Users also like notifications for transits and the sense that the app covers what they need. Common drawbacks include time-format and timezone issues (military vs. standard time, inconsistent display), a lack of in-app explanations for terms, and some navigation quirks when scrolling the calendar. Occasional stability issues on iOS and ads are also noted. Overall it’s a solid, straightforward tracking tool with room to grow.

  • Easy to track void-of-course moons and Mercury retrogrades.
  • Simple, straightforward interface with minimal clutter.
  • Time-zone aware, displaying times in the user’s local zone.
  • Compact charts with planetary positions and aspects.
  • Notifications for transits; generally reliable and meets users' needs.
Cons
  • Time-format and timezone issues; military vs standard time and inconsistent display.
  • Lack of in-app explanations or guides; not beginner-friendly.
  • Calendar navigation feels counterintuitive or confusing (scroll direction).

I use this daily to keep track of void of course moons and mercury retrogrades. So much easier to have that info right at hand rather than a full astrological calendar. Bonus that it is set to my time zone. Love it!!!

I use this app everyday and love it just wish there was an option to turn on notifications for all the transits so I didn’t have to do each one individually.
