User Reviews

GreekKit is praised as a top tool for reading NT Greek, offering strong parsing, NA28 text with lexical aids, and robust vocab learning via customizable lists and flashcards. Users highlight its intuitive interface, quick word lookups, and usefulness for sermon prep and study. Cons include iPad/split-screen limitations, occasional cloud-sync issues, and requests for more resources such as the Septuagint and additional lexicons. Many reviewers consider the paid add-ons worthwhile, while some wish for more features in the base app.
Pros
  • Excellent Greek NT reading and parsing capabilities, with NA28 text, lexical/search aids, and full forms/parsings across occurrences.
  • Powerful vocabulary tools: customizable word lists and flashcards that help with memory work and on-the-go study.
  • Intuitive, user-friendly interface; quick word definitions by tapping; great for sermon prep and language study.
  • Strong accuracy and reliability for parsing aligned with UBS5; widely regarded as a top Greek tool with valuable add-ons.
  • High value with optional add-ons (Word Forms & Parsing Tools, NA28 text with lexical aids) that tailor the tool to individual needs.
Cons
  • iPad support and multi-app workflow: iPhone-sized interface and no official iPad split-screen support.
  • Some reliability issues: occasional cloud sync problems and cross-device inconsistencies.
  • Missing Septuagint and certain lexicon/grammar resources (requests for LXX, BDAG/LSJ, Nestle-Aland dictionary, etc.).
  • Full functionality often relies on paid add-ons; some users would prefer more features in the base app.

This is the best App for reading and practicing your Greek. I like it better than Olive Tree and Logos Bible apps for reading and studying Greek. I have not changed my review the past five years since 2021: If you are a pastor-teacher (or a student of the NT Greek language) then this app is for you. To experience the full potential of this app, get the in-app purchases of "Word Forms & Parsing Tools" along with the "NA28 text with Lexical & search aids." Other tools are available for purchase in this app, but these are my favorite ones for sermon prep and word studies. With these two features mentioned above, you can pick a verb (in the biblical text itself or from a specific list that you have created) and this app will show you all the different forms/parsings and occurrences of this word. This feature is just the beginning of the user experience. This app has greatly helped me expand and retain my Koine Greek vocabulary. The interface is so easy to figure out especially for those who are not technologically savvy like myself. This app is a wonderful addition to other Bible Study apps (i.e. Olive Tree, Daily Dosage of Greek). This app will not disappoint you. I only wish there was a desktop version of this for the MacBook Pro.

I majored in Greek and Hebrew at Wheaton College in 1977. This app is a saving grace because of the parsings and declensions. Especially when I began to relearn Greek a decade or so ago. This is well worth the cost. I hope Casey will continue this app. I would love to support it somehow. Jeff Zohner
