I wish I had this back in 2019 when I was still in college. But using it during work is just as good. I work in a product warehouse so we can listen to whatever we want with headphones (within reason- NO porn or Butcher & Blackbird) so I upload a ton of webnovels. Quite a few are okay, and a lot of series are uploaded online. There’s just one thing I hate. I LOVE Chinese/Japanese/Indonesian/Korean webnovels. However most of the websites I read them on are foreign sites, which safari and Google chrome translate for me. The app doesn’t translate the webpage. So that’s over 500+ novels removed from my work playlist. Hopefully in the next app update they can include webpage translation, and when the voice reads the screen it speaks in English instead of the original language. I have had that happen with other apps similar to this one. You can also bookmark and archive your favorites which the other app didn’t offer. On the downside the female voice is clear and has amazing pronunciation, but has the expensive premium subscription. The free male voice is okay, just not great quality and it’s terrible with foreign names and sounds, specifically in the similar lines of words like “tsk.” And it was TERRIBLE with mangas. It was a stretch but I had to try anyway. Oh well, guess I’ll just stick to the YouTube channels that narrate them.
