Features & Capabilities

Batch Resize enables fast batch processing of images by allowing up to 500 images to be resized in one go. Choose from five resize modes—Fixed width, Fixed height, Maximum pixel, Aspect Fill, and Aspect Fit—and specify exact output sizes in pixels. Resized images can be saved back to Camera Roll or into a custom album for easy organization.

Notes: The maximum output size depends on your device—up to 4000 x 4000 on 32-bit devices and up to 8000 x 8000 on 64-bit devices—making it suitable for both quick edits and high-resolution batches.

User Reviews

Batch Resize excels at fast batch processing and organized, format-flexible outputs with an easy workflow. However, repeated complaints about intrusive ads, inconsistent image ordering, and cumbersome multi-image selection temper its appeal. Feature gaps like multi-album output and metadata handling also recur in reviews. Overall, it’s a time-saving tool for bulk resizing, but users weigh the ad experience and missing features against the convenience.
Pros
  • Fast batch resizing across many images (hundreds) with a straightforward workflow.
  • Keeps outputs organized by saving resized images to a dedicated album and can delete originals to save space.
  • Flexible output options, including PNG/JPEG/HEIC formats, adjustable quality, maximum pixel limits, and templates.
  • Easy to use and reliable for day-to-day batch resizing, with positive feedback from long-time users.
  • Ad-free option available via in-app purchase to remove ads.
Cons
  • Free version is plagued by intrusive ads (including full-screen ads) that disrupt usage and navigation.
  • Output order can be incorrect or reversed, making batch results hard to predict.
  • Selecting many images is tedious since there’s no bulk select-all feature.
  • Missing some workflows users want, such as exporting to multiple albums or more advanced presets.
  • Some users report occasional reliability or UI issues related to ads or performance.

Whenever I resize a batch, I get this obnoxious magenta border around all 4 sides. I wish I knew if it is possible to make it go away.

Works mostly as it should, but thumb-drag selection feature only (kinda) works, dragging top-down. If you drag up, it outputs out of order. And this is a problem since your older images (which you want to output first) are always earlier down in the list. So, you really hafta select each and every image. A pain. (I did a test of 10 numbered images...dragging UP output: 1, 2, 5, 4, 3, 8, 7, 6, 10, 9. Dragging down was fine--except output was 10 first, and 1 last. No bueno. It also deletes Captions added in the stock Photos app. I have to use an EXiF editor to bake in exif & tiff caption fields before I use this app (which its Save EXIF feature does respect). Plus it really needs some features... My previous (great) go-to batch resizer was BatchResizer2, but it doesn't work anymore. It showed info overlays on thumbnail selection screen: file type, file size, and arrows to rotate images. It also allowed fully unlimited customizable presets for any pixel sizes, aspect ratios, and compression amounts. Or adding a border. This app needs those features. $15 ad-free is wayyy to steep compared to my other one--which was free. I'd pay if it were full-featured. Updated; User Response: Thanks for your reply. I'll bet you could specify having the thumb selection field "right side up", with the oldest thumbs at the bottom. Updated #2, 5/3/2025: A.) the cache bloats to a huge size (I see 200+ megs. My phone is almost out of space, (why I need a Re-Sizer!) so I'm deleting & reinstalling the app a coupla times/day. B.) The "Don't Sell My Data" option was just removed. C.) App Deleted. Just bought Desqueeze Pro for 10 bucks.
