Their marketing page is so thirsty and even aggressive, it just makes us uncomfortable. We open the app, change the temperature, and close the app.

Pretty much junk works about 50% of the time. Junk I’ll just touch the darn thermostat.

I have used the app and had Ecobee for years now. I don’t want my kids to have control the thermostat but I do want the app to track when they are home and to have them as part of the geofence. Why does the app not have a profile type for family members who cannot control the security, cameras or thermostat? We use the doorbell as well so ideally it would allow them to talk with people at the door if that permission were enabled as well. This is also helpful as my kids wouldn’t always remember to disable the alarm when they get home so having another profile type is essential for family security.
