Users repeatedly fail to scan passport chips or documents, endure slow or failing logins, and encounter app-breaking updates, with weak support and registration issues. A minority note remote proof-of-life use, but overall experience is negative due to reliability and usability problems.

Pros

Allows remote submission of identity documents and proof-of-life from home (useful for pension/government verification).

Cons

Passport chip scanning is unreliable: multiple reviews report inability to read the chip despite attempts and proper positioning.
Login and verification are slow and error-prone: long SMS code delays, multiple attempts, and failed or rejected verifications.
App reliability issues: updates frequently break functionality or render the app unusable.
Poor customer support and lack of direct contact options (no phone support) and difficult registration.
Document scanning challenges, including glare from laminated passports and general scanning problems.

Can’t read ‘chip’, my PP chip works!!!I am a U.S. Government Federal Officer that handles hundreds of PP’s daily from around the world. Verifying ‘CHIP’ reading!!! The electronic ping is not being detected from my PP with their software. At least 24 attempts. I have the latest security iOS version update for Apple phones. Now to keep bank happy in Europe, have to ‘snail mail’ documents from U.S. by May 29. Again the software is terrible.
