Sushi Guide is a sushi guide for learning about authentic Japanese sushi and using it at sushi restaurants while traveling in Japan. It introduces 54 sushi toppings with beautiful photos and clear explanations. You can also find sushi restaurants in Tokyo by name, area, or current location. Use it to look up a fish you are curious about while eating sushi, identify an unfamiliar topping with the camera, or show a topping to the staff when you want to order it.

Main features

1. Sushi guide Check each topping's photo, kanji, reading, characteristics, regions, and approximate season. You can also learn small bits of knowledge about the fish and shellfish used in each topping. Share toppings you like on social media or with friends.

2. Search by photo Take a photo of the sushi in front of you and AI identifies the toppings. Several pieces in one photo are identified at once, each marked on the picture.

3. Find sushi restaurants Search by restaurant name, area, or city, or start with places near your current location. Filter by restaurant type—including conveyor-belt, standing, à la carte, and omakase—as well as price range and reservation policy. Sort by recommendation, popularity, price, or distance, and save promising restaurants to your bookmarks. Where available, restaurant pages also link to maps, official websites, restaurant listing sites, and reservation pages. Tokyo is currently supported, with more areas coming soon.

4. Order card to show staff From a topping page, you can display a Japanese order card. It also shows the reading and lets you check the pronunciation, so it helps when ordering in Japanese feels difficult.

5. My Favorite Five & popularity ranking Pick the five toppings you love most and save them as your Favorite Five. Your five count anonymously as a single vote, and you can browse the most-loved toppings worldwide or by country.

6. Food restrictions If you set food restrictions, the sushi list and topping pages show caution labels. Allergies, halal, and vegan needs are supported. You can also use a Japanese allergy declaration card to show restaurant staff. Ingredients and preparation vary by restaurant, so always confirm with the restaurant as well.

7. Season calendar Browse seasonal sushi toppings by month. Use it to learn about seasonal fish or choose your next piece.
