Animal Typing is a simple and funny way to learn touch typing for all ages. Your typing speed and accuracy determine your animal avatar—the faster you type, the quicker you advance from snail to rabbit, horse, and eventually cheetah. Practice with the virtual keyboard or a Bluetooth keyboard (hardware recommended) across 28 lessons, plus two sets of 32 kid-friendly lessons for children under 12. You can also import your own lessons via iCloud Drive, and enjoy animated fingers showing the correct technique.

Beyond basic practice, the app supports multiple keyboard layouts (QWERTY US/UK, Dvorak, Colemak, Workman, Qwertz, Azerty), customizable finger zones, and a local multi-user login. Features like dictation mode spell out the words to type and offer advanced lessons for special characters, making it suitable for learners of all ages and skill levels.
