User Reviews

Avaz AAC is praised for its life-changing accessibility and strong customization, with a user-friendly interface and clear, natural-sounding voices. However, many reviews hinge on pricing and subscription concerns, limited functionality in the free tier, and recurring reliability issues (voice stops, bugs, and account/sign-in problems). Overall, users see substantial value for communication needs but worry about cost, stability, and access across devices.
Pros
  • Life-changing accessibility and communication for nonverbal users and families.
  • Extensive customization: multiple vocabulary levels, pictures, voices, keyboard options, and touch accommodations.
  • User-friendly interface and logical, easy-to-navigate layout.
  • Clear, natural-sounding voice options that can be tailored to individual needs.
  • Widely recognized impact by families and professionals, highlighting the app's positive real-world use.
Cons
  • Pricing and trial model concerns: short 14-day free trial, ongoing subscription costs, and changing lifetime pricing.
  • Free tier limitations: core features like speaking and pictures often locked behind paywall or require subscription.
  • Voice reliability issues: reports of voice stopping or becoming unavailable at times.
  • Bugs and stability problems: freezing/crashing when using features, slow load times, and other glitches.
  • Sign-in/account management issues across devices: difficulty creating accounts or signing in, and cross-device account problems.

I used to own an account on this on this device specifically with a different email address. When I tried to make a new account on a different device with a different email I just made, it said that I ‘already had an account’ which I didn’t! So then I tried again to make a new account, but it said I already had an account under that email despite it never being used?? It shouldn’t be this hard to make an account or sign in. Please fix this!

I’ve had abs since October. I really love it. I do wish it was cheaper for a lifetime and one of the issues is it’s telling me it’s 299.99 for the lifetime, but it’s telling my friend it’s only 199.99 and it’s been glitching and freezing but I do really love the app. If you could fix these issues, I really want to buy the lifetime.
