Review summary

The game is praised for its unique 2D WWII dogfighter concept, accessible controls, and a memorable memorial feature that honors fallen pilots. It is free-to-play with no ads or pay-to-win barriers, delivering engaging story and depth in flight gameplay. Fans want more content—sequels, endless modes, and additional missions/loadouts—while some recurring concerns focus on control nuances and onboarding. Overall, it’s highly regarded for charm and depth, with strong expectations for future updates or a sequel.
Pros
  • Unique 2D WWII dogfighter gameplay with simple, recognizable mechanics and art style.
  • Free-to-play with no pay-to-win elements and no ads, enhancing accessibility.
  • Memorial concept for fallen recruits adds emotional depth and a sense of life to the game.
  • Engaging story and a strong sense of squadron control that makes dogfighting feel immersive.
  • Notes of strong fan interest in future content like sequels or endless-mode variants indicate long-term appeal.
Cons
  • Control issues: small hitboxes and a learning curve; many players would like inverted controls.
  • Desire for more content and modes (endless mode, new missions, loadout customization) and a potential sequel.
  • Tutorial onboarding can be confusing or frustrating, with players getting stuck turning planes or learning mechanics.

2026-02-02 Ri***** So I found this game at a house warming party and I thought it was cool because there is no such game I’ve played or heard of that is a 2D, WWII, phone-tilting, dogfighter game. This game in my opinion, is one of the best out there, it is simple and recognizable. the game has a cool art style, low storage space, easy but challenging levels and mechanics, and not to mention, the title screen. See, the thing about this game is that it has actual recruits that you play as and when you die, the game holds a sort of memorial for the ones who died fighting, which is what the title screen does. It shows them flying in heaven, which is so creative and it gives the game so much Life to it. This game is just so memorable and I hope so many people find this game.
