User Reviews

The Haiku app is praised for easy setup, simple control, and strong smart‑home integration (Alexa/Google/Ecobee) with multi‑fan support. However, recurring cons include stability issues after updates, unreliable connectivity requiring solid Wi‑Fi/mesh, removal of sleep mode, and login/account problems. Overall, it’s functional and convenient for several fans, but reliability improvements are needed.
Pros
  • Easy to set up and simple to use the Haiku app, with straightforward setup and control.
  • Works well with popular smart home assistants (Alexa, Google Assistant, Ecobee) for voice and platform integration.
  • Convenient control of both fan and light via the app, with multiple fans supported in a single interface.
  • Reliable app control across multiple devices; the app can manage several Haiku fans smoothly.
Cons
  • Frequent stability problems after app updates, including crashes on iOS 15.4 with Version 3.0.
  • Connectivity issues: when the fan loses power or the Wi‑Fi drops, the app disconnects and may take days to reconnect, sometimes requiring a strong mesh network.
  • Sleep mode has been removed in the newer app, removing a key temperature-based night setting.
  • Login and account creation/sign-in errors block setup and control for some users.

I’m removing the lights from the fans because they are so bad

We’ve had this fan for many years now, and I’m always amazed at its operation, looks, and effectiveness. Always super quiet with excellent connectivity, it’s a great addition to our Great Room. I highly recommend BAF!

Great ceiling fan and the motion sensor is a nice touch. I would recommend adding a step down feature: when set at a speed and step down selected the fan speed would lower one level every two hours and stay at level one. Other than that everything worn Ks great
