Ribbons is Now Universal! Ribbons is an extraordinarily fun and expressive musical instrument. Inspired by the Ondes Martenot and the Theremin, Ribbons merges a fluid playing surface with a modern synthesis engine, letting you glide from melodic lines to lush, polyphonic soundscapes.

Playability and synthesis: The expressive surface supports note sliding, 3D Touch parameter control (where available), adjustable note snapping, hold for solos, and vertical mapping to volume and synth parameters. It features a morphing wavetable engine with swarm oscillators, a resonant filter, and rich modulation, plus a broad effects suite (reverb and delay). MIDI and performance: Ribbons can act as a MIDI controller with MPE output, supports Inter-App Audio and Audiobus, and includes a built-in manual to help explore alternate tunings, scales, and microtonal tuning.
