User Reviews

Users generally find Memorado/GEIST fun and engaging with a good mix of brain-training exercises and IQ tests, and they like the relaxing visuals and daily cognitive challenge. However, recurring concerns center on pricing and premium gating: high costs, confusing renewal offers, bait pricing, and cancellation issues, with several reports of being charged unexpectedly or seeing inflated prices. Other strong drawbacks include perceived unfair progression and repetitive, glitchy gameplay, quality problems (bugs, miscounts in levels, and odd UI). A notable frustration is the lack of a cross-device account system, which hinders syncing progress across platforms.
Pros
  • Fun, engaging brain-training with a variety of IQ-style games.
  • Relaxing, enjoyable gameplay with appealing visuals and colors.
  • Provides a daily cognitive challenge and ongoing mental stimulation.
  • Diverse game types and exercises that appeal to different preferences.
Cons
  • Heavy reliance on a premium subscription with many features locked behind paywalls.
  • Pricing inconsistencies and renewal offers that can feel bait-like or inflated, with cancellation concerns.
  • Perceived unfair progression and repetitive, glitchy gameplay with occasional miscounts or bugs.
  • Lack of a cross-device account system or syncing progress across devices.
  • Some UI/UX clarity issues and unclear in-game instructions or explanations.

I had this app for over six months, only for the games. The language tone this app uses, (one example: “you’re better than _% of users”) is annoying to me, I cringe every time I read it. Also, there’s a game called Stepping Stones, where you memorize numbers and tap in ascending or descending order, but it doesn’t tell you which, so I have to find out by making an error then restarting the game. Memorado’s full of annoying little things like that. I only used it for so long because I paid for it, but now that I deleted it, it’s worth my peace of mind to not use the app
