Baduk Cap lets you capture positions on a Go board and convert them to SGF files using built-in image recognition. Add player names, ranks, captured stones, and more, then copy the SGF, email it, or export to apps such as EasyGo or SmartGo Kifu.

With live capture, automatic move recognition, and optional photo triggering via a Bluetooth camera remote, Baduk Cap supports 9×9, 13×13, and 19×19 boards. Pro subscriptions unlock features like scoring, full live game recording, Siri shortcuts, dark mode, alternate app icons, Mastodon broadcasting, and cloud exports (Dropbox).

This app is purpose built for a wide variety of useful situations regarding playing Go! I think a lot of the functionality and processes in the app are well thought out, but the developer is open to feedback and improving it. New Added that are incredibly useful and I think the app as well worth it’s one time purchase. If you play Go, download this for sure. NEW: On the iPads and iPhones with USB-C, you can now plug-in a USB-C WebCam, which is much lighter than mounting an iPad or iPhone for a live recording and SGF of your game.
