The HUUM iOS app is largely unreliable for remote sauna control. Recurrent issues include broken scheduling/auto-start, temperature control failures, and frequent bugs after updates that disable features or crash the calendar. Users also report slow or unavailable customer support and localization/UI glitches. While the heater itself is praised, the app’s stability and feature reliability are the dominant negative factors, making remote operation inconsistent and frustrating for premium hardware owners.

Pros

Heater performance is good.
The app could provide remote start and scheduling when it worked.
Initial setup could be completed and the app reported temperature reliably in early usage.

Cons

Scheduling/auto-start feature is broken or disabled after updates, making it impossible to automate heat start.
Temperature control via the app no longer works (can't change temp; heater may not turn on reliably).
Frequent bugs and loss of features after updates; calendar/scheduling often errors, won't open, or disappears.
Customer support is slow or unresponsive to reports and emails.
Localization and UI issues (language switching to Swedish or other locales) and other UI glitches, plus missing alerts or watch support.

Recent reviews

Absolutely zero excuse to have such buggy software with Claude Code, Cursor, etc. available. You can’t schedule sessions- which was the primary reason I purchased this setup. It used to work fine in the app, and then the developers broke it. I’ve reported the issue, and no love. So disappointed.

I have had this for a year and am very disappointed with it. Usually I have to go to the sauna to turn it on and reset it to get it working.

I don’t understand how an actual company can release this total garbage and call it software. Impossible to configure. Regularly forgets settings. Strongly suggest you spend another $500 on your development team and get someone over the age of 11 to develop it. You should be ashamed of yourself and the garbage you are putting out and calling software.
