User Reviews

The Japji for the Aquarian Age app is praised for its learner-friendly design: a simple interface, word highlighting, translations and transliterations, multiple speeds, and a step-by-step pauri approach that supports daily sadhana. Users cite strong learning value and the ability to chant line-by-line. A major recurring issue is audio not playing across devices or after upgrades, with some unable to hear vocals despite purchases. Some want a static/landscape view to avoid distracting scrolling and a slower recitation option. Overall, it’s highly valued for learning Japji, but audio reliability needs fixing.
Pros
  • Simple to use interface and easy navigation.
  • Word highlighting lights up to help track progress.
  • Translations and transliterations available (Gurmukhi, transliteration, and translation).
  • Multiple speeds (three speeds) to suit learning pace.
  • Step-by-step learning approach (pauri-by-pauri) with line-by-line chanting supports daily sadhana.
Cons
  • Persistent audio/sound issues: no sound or volume stopping across devices and upgrades.
  • Auto-scrolling can be distracting for some users; requests for a static/landscape viewing option.

Like landscape static page better. Scrolling is distracting.

I tell anyone interested about this app. I love that the words light up to keep track. I love the three speeds. I love the different translations and transliteration.
