Plotagon Story

The iPad and iPhone are perfect tools for animation, and when an app comes along that makes animation simple to do, it should be celebrated. Plotagon is exactly that kind of app. You can create a wide variety of characters quite easily, even doing a good job of making an avatar of yourself or anyone else. There are stock characters, too, so you don't have to dive right in to building a character. Once you have your characters, you type a simple script with two-person dialogue. Then press play and your movie is on the screen; the camera cuts like you'd expect in a TV show, and the voices generated by the app are pretty decent. You can add expressions and moods to the characters, sound effects, and even music, all in app. You can create lengthy movies in several locations by adding a new location in the script. The app comes with a large variety of free locations and characters (some of which you have to download, but they're still free), and you can buy some additional ones, but what it comes with is plenty to get started. When you're done making your movie, the app lets you upload the movie to Plotagon's site to share. This is the only shortcoming in the app, and why I've given it only four stars. I'd really love to be able to render the movie to my camera roll and then take it into other iOS apps (like iMovie, Pinnacle Studio, or even filtering apps like Super8) to edit and enhance. I wrote to the developers and they said that's something they're considering adding, so if they do, I'll bump my rating up to five stars. It's really a fun and easy way to make great dialogue scenes. Absolutely worth downloading and playing with.

So I was making a new character which I was selecting the characters voice until I found a new voice called Tara a native voice and then I pressed it and it said how do I sound? like usual and then at the end, it’s screaming. It did not sound a ice cream and it sounds like a little person screaming distorted it’s every night now I keep hearing strange noises when I’m trying to sleep i’m freaked out

I downloaded this game very excited, because I’d never heard of anything like it. I opened it up, and I didn’t get a tutorial or anything, and I couldn’t really access any characters without trouble. I had to figure out to use it on my own, and I was disappointed. The characters where creepy, and there was so few options for what they could do, where they could stand. And the voices sounded really fake and honestly kind of disturbing. 😳 the main thing I was excited about was writing the script and seeing what it became, but that wasn’t even an option, like it showed in the preview photos. I think the idea is really cool, but it could use A LOT of improvement.
