Features & Capabilities

Ratio Calculator Tool is not a calculator as we know it. It is designed only for calculating proportions.

It simply gets you the value of [?] in this equation: "If X Foo equals to Y bla, then Z Foo equals to [?] bla"

It works for 2 ways of proportions: Direct and inverse.

For example when you make a calculation about prices, the result usually increases like this: If 2 apples cost 10 bucks, 5 apples cost how many bucks? The app finds 25 bucks here (which is greater than 10).

But when you make a calculation for ex. about speed, the result decreases like this: If 3 workers finish the job in 15 days, 9 workers will finish in how many days? The app finds 5 days here (which is less than 15).

Simple, but useful.

the right side to be able to put in the desired denominator and it calculate the numerator. useful for figuring out percentages.

I almost always create a charcoal sketch before I begin an oil painting. Normally the sketch is much smaller than the painting but I want to have the same ratios. With this simple tool I just enter the size of my painting canvas and it will help calculate the correct size for my sketch.

I want to calculate a ratio, but I cannot fil in the denominator on the right hand side? It’s thinking I’ve already completed my calculation by saying “copied to clipboard”. This is pretty annoying, I suppose I can switch the digits around, but how about you let me copy to clipboard when I ready to do so. This is also extremely aggravating because it doesn’t even warn the user that something is about to be copied if they touch that space... I actually had some text from another app that I’d copied over onto my clipboard, and this app just cleared that out without any warning. Now, I’m unable to retrieve that text because THIS app copied something without warning. Unless it’s a long sequence of digits, I don’t see any reason why it would even be that convenient to have this app copy text. This assumes the user needs to paste the number/s somewhere on their device. I can actually think of very few scenario that has ever been the case for me! I’m usually needing my calculations for artwork, cooking, cutting wood, so it is of no use to have this feature. PLEASE make it an OPTION to copy to clipboard. PLEASE allow users the option to enter numbers in all 4 spaces. Then, when three spaces have been filled, let the user press a ‘calculate’ button when they are ready... You app will be helpful at that point. What a disappointment. On to download the next app. My recommendations for feature seem like common sense to me. Sadly, I don’t think I will have to look far to find what I need.
