User Reviews

ReadMe! is praised for its broad reading modes and speed-reading capabilities and is seen by many as a useful learning tool. However,Spritz/focus features are removed or unreliable, last-read position is not remembered, library management is weak, the UI is dated and buggy, and the subscription model requires internet with reports of deceptive trial charges. Despite flaws, the core reading technology remains valued by many users.

Cons
  • Spritz/focus features removed or unreliable
  • App does not remember last-read position / resume from where you left off
  • Weak library management and book loading—poor sorting and hard uploads
  • Outdated, buggy UI with occasional crashes
  • Subscription model with internet requirements and reports of deceptive trial charges

Don’t bother

Why did you ruin this amazing app? It used to show you one word at a time, where the focus was in the middle of the word, and you could set the speed or wpm. This no longer lets you see one word at a time, it is only 5 words or more, which makes this app garbage, absolutely useless. The whole point was to speed read using the spritz system. I could absorb 500 words per minute, but now they ruined this app delete

I’ve enjoyed this app for years. I originally purchased it to speed read books using their spritz focus mode. Now that mode has been removed, so the app has no use to me.
