User Reviews

Reviewers praise Comic Geeks for its strong cataloging, pull-lists, and community-driven features, along with useful stats. However, repeated update-related crashes and UI regressions, plus a reduced weekly releases view, hinder the experience. A gallery-style cover view is also a common wish. Overall, it's a powerful tool when it runs smoothly, with reliability and UI improvements needed.
Pros
  • Robust cataloging and organization of owned comics with strong pull-list and have/read tracking.
  • User-friendly interface that makes it easy to add, view, and manage your collection.
  • Great support for upcoming releases and reliable release tracking with accurate dates.
  • Positive community and social features that enhance engagement and discussion.
  • Rich stats and data on artists, writers, and characters, plus value estimates for your collection.
Cons
  • Stability issues after updates: crashes, white screens, and unresponsive UI that can render the app unusable.
  • Recent changes limit the weekly release view to pull-list items only, forcing you to use the website for full release info.
  • Desire for a gallery or larger cover view to improve discovery and browsing.

This app is almost perfect. I wouldn’t have been able to get into comics without it. It’s genuinely amazing and I would recommend; I just have one critique. I wish there was some kind of map of comic shops. Every general map like Google or Apple is unreliable. There’ll be shops labeled as comic shops that have two books in the whole store. It’d be great if this app could have some type of map with actual comic shops. Found and labeled by users. A collection of comic shops, made by us, for us. It would help people learn where to go. It can be so hard to find a reliable shop unless you know someone.
