User Reviews

Users praise the app for tracking countries visited and its detailed maps, plus cross-device syncing and nostalgia value. Repeated issues include inaccurate/missing maps, incomplete city/airport coverage, crashes, a pay-to-mark model, and several feature gaps (timeline, trip visualization). Overall it’s a beloved travel companion that needs data accuracy, stability, and enhanced features.
Pros
  • Easy-to-use travel tracker that logs countries visited (Travel Century Club) and preserves memories.
  • Rich, detailed maps and data; many users call it the best or most detailed mapping app for travel.
  • Cross-device syncing keeps your travel history consistent across devices.
  • Valued by travelers as informative and educational; helps you relive adventures.
  • Longstanding favorite among travelers with ongoing updates.
Cons
  • Map accuracy and completeness issues: mislabelled or disputed regions (e.g., Abkhazia/South Ossetia) and missing areas.
  • Incomplete data: many cities and airports are missing and base map coverage is spotty in some regions.
  • Reliability problems: frequent crashes, especially when adding cities, and instability overall.
  • Pay-to-mark friction: prompts to purchase to mark a country or place feel like a paywall.
  • Missing features and UX gaps: no timeline, limited trip-visualization, and awkward city lists.

I’ve been using Mark O’Travel for 3 years to track where I’ve been (currently 134) and highlight areas of future interest. I love it’s flexibility in letting me select my own definition of “every country in the world” (for me 197: 193 UN members +2 observers plus almost universally recognized Kosovo & Taiwan).

This app has UK’s regions, but not itself!? I mean, this is great, but you are missing UK! Also, you are an app, not a Trump supporter.

They have wrong maps all over the world. Abkhazia and dout osetia is georgia and it should not be separated. And there are other misaligned errors!!!
