Cons

Frequent connectivity problems: receivers not recognized, random disconnects, lag, and unresponsiveness.
Mandatory HEOS account to enable Wi‑Fi/AirPlay, with signup and onboarding issues (dead support page, broken email link).
Cumbersome and non‑intuitive UI with too many screens and a steep learning curve.
Inconsistent streaming service support and integration issues (e.g., limited features with Qobuz/Spotify).
Known issues persisting for years with inadequate fixes and support.

Recent reviews

Great app, but recently the volume rocker no longer controls or effects zone 2 like it used to. If I increased the volume on my iPhone or iPad with the volume rocker, it would increase the volume in both zones of my AVR. That is no longer true for whatever reason. Would love to see this issue resolved.

The recent update changed the way you have to turn on zones and adjust the volume for a Denon AVR. I use to be able to turn on Zone 2 right from the ROOMS Menu, and volume was controllable as well. Now it doesn’t show that room, only the AVR Main Room. What happened?
