User Reviews

IronVest is valued for its privacy tools (emails, phone, virtual cards) and its aim to be a single system across devices, appealing to long-time users. However, it is plagued by a hard paywall, persistent login and stability issues, unreliable email forwarding, weak customer support, and concerns about the company’s viability. Overall, strong privacy features exist, but reliability and access problems hinder adoption and retention.
Pros
  • Broad privacy feature set (masked emails, masked phone, and virtual cards) designed to protect personal data.
  • Aimed at being a single system across devices (multi‑platform support across iPhone, Mac, and browsers) for privacy tools.
  • Longstanding product with a loyal user base and history, suggesting durable feature value for privacy-conscious users.
Cons
  • Paywall and subscription requirement to access features with no trial or lite option.
  • Frequent login/authentication issues (inability to log in, password problems, login loops) across devices.
  • Reliability and stability problems (crashes on launch, app not staying active, UI issues on iPhone).
  • Unreliable email forwarding (delays, some emails not forwarded, spam tagging).
  • Customer support seen as unhelpful or slow, with concerns about the company’s ongoing viability.

All of the features are back and seem to work; keep it up!

I’ve been using Blur since the early 2010s, primarily for the masked email feature, which I use daily. However, the service has had unacceptable bugs, mainly, masked emails not receiving emails for days or weeks, when that’s literally the only point of using the service. That has always been the killer feature, though now it’s more common for other companies to provide it. App stability, endless loading spinners, and data missing are unacceptable when the core product has barely changed in 10 years. Anyone using this is either a loyal longtime user trying to stay loyal; dependent on the masked emails; or using it to avoid a large company. Please do better. This used to be a less buggy product. They also need to work on solutions possibly with vendors like Google so masked emails don’t end up in spam so often. Push notifications of incoming emails to the inbox accessible in the iOS app would be a good start.

Cannot open without creating an account, and then after creating an account, they make you pay for a subscription. So no way to try anything.
