SimplePlanes is a building and flight simulation extension. Build planes by snapping parts, designing wings, and attaching engines. Strap into the cockpit to see how your design flies with a dynamic, physics-based model where weight, thrust, lift, and drag are calculated in real time. Planes can experience simulated failures and still fly, encouraging experimentation.

In addition to a sandbox mode with unlimited parts and a variety of challenges—such as carrier landings and high-speed courses—the extension includes educational tutorials that teach real-world aerodynamics and design considerations. You can also download and fly from over 250,000 user-uploaded planes or upload your own creations to share with the community.
