User Reviews

GT Buses is valued for real-time bus locations and campus-focused usefulness, making it a convenient, time-saving tool for GT students. However, users frequently cite outdated routes, unreliable ETA data, intrusive ads, readability/zoom UI issues, and inconsistent location features. Addressing route updates, ETA accuracy, ad policy, and UI polish would preserve its core strengths while improving overall reliability for campus transit.
Pros
  • Real-time bus location visibility helps users track buses and plan trips.
  • Highly convenient and time-saving for campus commutes.
  • Easy-to-use UI and design that GT students appreciate.
  • Essential lifesaver for GT students and widely relied upon.
  • Often viewed as better than the official app and a preferred option for GT transit.
Cons
  • Outdated or missing routes; new routes are not reflected promptly.
  • Unreliable or inaccurate arrival time estimates and predictions.
  • Ads were introduced and there is a demand for an ad-free option.
  • UI readability issues (route names are hard to read or truncated) and problematic zoom behavior.
  • Location/GPS features are inconsistent (drivers' GPS may be off; location data not always used or updated).

Changes in routes should be reflected(e.g. Northside Dr is currently unavailable)

Why so few buses used? Why do drivers take frequent breaks parked with no movement for 15 minutes at a time? leaving students stranded and late for class? Very poor service. Seems to be something you advertise to prospective student families to show how awesome tech is on paper.

The bus drivers don’t turn on their gps so we don’t know where they are and it’s so annoying
