Sawmill Calculator Pro assists you with lumber and timber calculations. It has three major functions:

Generation of a list of cuts to make the desired boards accounting for blade kerf. As cuts are made, they can be checked off in the app.
Calculation of board feet where lists can be saved and emailed as a table. Hardwoods and softwoods are supported along with species.
Calculation of log volume on the Doyle, Scribner, and Internation 1/4" scales. Now with species selection. All features support US/Imperial and metric units.

What good is a log calculator if you can’t put in the species

My setworks went out on me Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, I downloaded the app and have been using it while waiting for replacement parts. I have been using it for over a week now and am very happy that I am still able to keep my production up. My boards are flawless and for the price, every sawyer should own this app. Manual mill operators will absolutely benefit from the app also. The Pro version has more features, like email capabilty and log volume calculator that I look forward to using.
