Features & Capabilities

Mindfulness Coach 2.0 was designed to help Veterans, Service members, and others learn how to practice mindfulness. The app provides a gradual, self-guided training program designed to help you understand and adopt a simple mindfulness practice. It also offers a library of information about mindfulness (for example 'What is Mindfulness?', 'How to Anchor Your Attention').

It includes 12 audio-guided mindfulness exercises and a growing catalog of additional exercises available for free download, plus goal-setting and tracking, a mindfulness mastery assessment to help you track your progress over time, customizable reminders, and access to other support and crisis resources. Mindfulness Coach is free, doesn't take or share any of your personal information, and doesn't require add-on purchases. It was created by VA’s National Center for PTSD.

This app has a soothing feminine voice that is clear with no accent. The segments of the sessions transition flawlessly. I have found it very easy to use, and setting the reminder alert helps me stay the course. Great Choice for PTSD anxiety episodes. Thanks!

This is my favorite app and I recommend it to everyone. (And I’ve tried a lot of mindfulness apps—one was $70/ year too!) This app has a wide selection of high-quality, guided meditations, and going through the different “levels” was extremely motivating. There are a host of additional resources I’m still exploring. I credit this app for my ability to meditate 20 mins/day after only a few months of practice.
