Recent reviews

We have used OpenTable since we opened our restaurant. When business became slow, I asked them to downgrade our plan. They did, but they never told me it would automatically renew into a new one year contract. I clearly asked for a month to month plan. Last month, I called to cancel the service. They told me I had signed a one year contract and would have to pay about $900 to cancel early. They also kept pushing us to buy ads, saying we would get more customers. On top of the monthly subscription fee, they charge about $5 for customers who come through ads and about $1 for other reservations. The monthly fees and extra charges add up quickly. In my opinion, it is too expensive for a small restaurant.
