User Reviews

Users praise VSee Messenger for being easy to use and well-suited for telemedicine, with fast, reliable video and chat when the service works, and clinicians report minimal training requirements. However, multiple reviews cite persistent problems: video connectivity failures (freezes, drops, crashes) that disrupt sessions; sign-in and account setup issues (Google login failures, delayed/absent verification emails, misleading no internet messages); inconsistent notifications (too many alerts from waiting rooms and occasional missing messages); privacy concerns with waiting room entrants and lack of blocking controls; and post-update regressions limiting features like adding participants mid-call.
Pros
  • Easy to use with quick onboarding
  • Fast, reliable, and clear video and chat connectivity for telemedicine
  • Clinician-friendly with minimal training required and responsive to problems/requests
Cons
  • Frequent video connectivity issues (freezes, drops, crashes) during calls
  • Sign-in and account setup problems (Google login failures, missing or delayed verification emails, and misleading no-internet errors)
  • Notification issues: too many waiting room alerts and occasional missing messages
  • Waiting room security concerns: unknown entrants and lack of blocking controls
  • Update regressions: new versions introduce issues and restrict features like adding participants mid-call

Will not go full screen on iPad. Doesn’t always like to rotate the camera or show the button to do so.

I see that all of the reviews are over five years ago saying this app is wonderful, mostly. Well I am a current user and I’m not impressed! I have been using this app with my therapist for about five years now and almost every time my therapist and I get on a call, the video freezes and cuts off communication between the two of us giving a message saying the video feed has lost connection. This is not only very annoying, but also cuts into my time with my therapist which I am paying for!! The quality of the call is often low and we both have to keep asking each other “can you hear me?” We each do not receive the messages sent to each other in the chat portion of the app. I thought my therapist had ghosted me when in fact she had never received any of my messages! What a disaster! Thank GOD I found her email and contacted her that way!! At our last meeting we both agreed that we need to find a new meeting app that is more reliable. I’m all for doing that!!!
