Overall, the game is praised as a fun, visually strong zombie shooter with campaigns, missions, and plenty of content; players also note solid updates and, for some, good controller support. However, recurring issues temper the enthusiasm: ads and pay-to-win monetization (including pricey specials), update-induced bugs and login/profile problems, UI clutter that blocks the crosshair, and mobile control balance problems (gun range, non-resizable controls, auto-fire). Many players want Dead Trigger 3. It’s polished with great moments and clear opportunities to improve monetization, UI, and controls.

I’ve played this game multiple times since release 10+ years ago and I feel as if it’s visually improved in multiple ways. In a world of pay to win games this one allows you to get pretty far before the prices and wait times get too bad. My number one complaint is the institution of wait times for each mission being 20 minutes when most of them can be completed in less than five. Seriously? Watching a minute advertisement to pass these new wait times, while disappointing, is a somewhat reasonable trade. However, this should mean that I should not be bombarded by ads every time I “return to base”. Closing and refreshing the app is faster than watching these ads whenever I want to upgrade or craft a single item. Cannot say that this isn’t a great game with a cute story but these ads are a bit ridiculous. I do wish the story was a bit longer, maybe another branch of the campaign could’ve taken place in a snowy climate?
