User Reviews

Reviews praise recent updates for usability and cloud features, plus some gains in performance. However, the app is repeatedly criticized for stability issues (crashes, sign-outs, slow loads), controller connectivity problems after updates (including older hardware loss), and stubborn group/scheduling bugs (unsaved groups, zombie groups, overlaps). The scheduling/UX design is seen as confusing and under-documented, and cloud/remotely controlled access can be unstable. Overall, the hardware is strong, but the app needs a major rewrite to be dependable.
Pros
  • Recent updates improve usability and introduce cloud-based features.
  • Some users report faster response times and better performance in newer versions.
  • Ongoing updates and new features are praised by several reviewers.
  • Overall, cloud features and expanded control are seen as positive progress.
Cons
  • Frequent stability issues: crashes, sign-out loops, and slow load times.
  • Controller connectivity problems after updates, including 'controller not found' and loss of older controller support.
  • Group and scheduling bugs: groups not saving, 'zombie' groups, and inability to delete; overlapping programs due to lack of priority.
  • Scheduling/UX design is confusing and under-documented, with limited warnings and inconsistent behavior.
  • Cloud access instability and remote-control reliability problems, with cloud crashes affecting operation.

The schedule won’t let me add an event to turn on another group. The slider for dimming (it’s a 110v switch) is grayed out at 0% and the app crashes if I tap “Done”. It seems to be related to picking a time relative to sunset when creating the event. If I create the event with a specific time it works and then I can go back and change it to 1 hour before sunset. I also put the group I wanted to schedule into a theme by itself but I’m not sure if that is necessary for the workaround.
