Users praise PenScore for being paperless, easy to use, and highly flexible with on‑the‑fly player additions and cross‑device use at no extra cost. The dominant downside is intrusive advertising: frequent pop‑ups, including after attempting to remove ads, which slows performance and disrupts scoring sessions. Overall, the solid scoring features are hampered by ad-related frustrations for many users.

Pros

Saves paper and provides a convenient, paperless way to score games.
Easy to use with flexible, user-defined scoring (not forced to follow a fixed notation).
Adds players on the fly and supports customizing player details (numbers, etc.).
Works on both iPhone and iPad, with no extra charge for use across devices.

Cons

Excessive, intrusive ads that appear frequently (often at every batter tap).
Ads persist even after paying to remove them (in-app purchase does not always disable ads).
Ads disrupt scoring and slow down the game flow, making it easy to lose track of pitches/outs or lose focus.

Easy to use but a lot of adds. I just turned off the data and that seams to work. Doesn’t waste a lot of battery if you put your phone on low power mode.
