User Reviews

Orca is widely praised as an easy, habit-forming gratitude diary with photo/video entries, long-term memory, and a distraction-free experience. Users value the ability to search by name/date/emoji, reminisce across years, and engage with random pods. The main drawbacks are cost and free-tier limits (e.g., video length and historical depth requiring a paid plan) plus occasional UI changes after updates that confuse navigation. A few users report account-recovery or support delays. Overall, it’s seen as life-changing for daily reflection, with room for more social features and more affordable pricing.
Pros
  • Easy to use and helps form a daily gratitude habit.
  • Allows adding photos and videos to entries for a richer memory journal.
  • Long-term memory across years with a powerful search by name, date or emoji and the option to print memories.
  • No ads in the free version and a feature-rich experience without intrusive interruptions.
  • Random pods and prompts encourage discovery and light social interaction.
Cons
  • High subscription cost; many users feel the paid plan is expensive and would prefer a more affordable price.
  • Free tier limits include only short videos (30 seconds) and restricted access to older memories without paying.
• Updates and UI changes can be confusing or harder to navigate, including changes to icons and sharing options.

I was happy until I switched over everything to a new phone, where I tried to type in forgot password and every time I hit send to email, nothing. I did accidentally created a new account and deleted it, but I’m still having issues trying to recover my old account, I did leave a message for the company but no response yet, I’ll update when I do get a response but until then I’m so angry and sad, my progress is gone 😭 and I’m unsure if it’s due to this new update.
