Features & Capabilities

ELD compliance and DVIR management are at the core of Motive Driver. The extension supports FMCSA ELD requirements (Part 395), Canadian HOS rules, and works with the Motive Vehicle Gateway to help fleets and drivers stay compliant. It can switch to Inspection Mode to display ELD logs to an officer while preserving driver privacy.

Beyond compliance, the extension brings dispatch, telematics, and safety tools. GPS data updates the Motive Fleet Dashboard for stops and arrivals; drivers can confirm dispatches, view load details, upload documents, and message the fleet. Safety features include dashcam events and a driving risk score. Fuel receipts can be uploaded for fuel reporting, and 24/7 support is available for questions.

After updating the software on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, I’ve been experiencing problems. It’s not as easy to use as before, and there are a lot of unnecessary apps. Some iPhone 17 Pro Max users have also reported issues after software updates, including lag, connectivity problems, app glitches, and other performance-related complaints. Many of these issues are often addressed in later iOS updates.

I can’t believe this is even allowed by DOT. It’s horrible and is constantly having issues connecting. Seems like a test run in a BETA version. Go into an office or truck stop, it may or may not reconnect. When it does the little reset button doesn’t do anything. Gotta unplug wait until the damn battery dies and try again. I miss our old Omnitracs. They were far more reliable and stable. I haven’t used customer support as I don’t have time in my run to deal with that. And who wants to waste their off time troubleshooting a junky gadget. I can’t believe a large company like FedEx would mandate this POS.

I’m constantly doing very dangerous stuff while driving an equipped vehicle and only get alerts over nonsense. It’s basically another data collection tool that watches you all day and the creeps in charge of monitoring it watch you for the own weird pleasure. Then decide if and when to mess with your employment. It’s a gross joke
