Review summary

Fiz: Brewery Management Game is praised for its deep, satisfying management sim mechanics and a surprisingly strong storyline that adds character to the genre. Players consistently note the pay-once model, offline play, and lack of IAP as standout positives, delivering long sessions and substantial replay value. The game also rewards careful planning with brewery upgrades, staff management, and a rich array of events that keep things fresh. However, reviews repeatedly flag aging support and compatibility issues on newer iPhones, a clunky, interrupt-prone UI, and occasional difficulty spikes that can hamper progression. Overall, a highly regarded title that could shine with updates.
Pros
  • Deep, engaging management/tycoon gameplay with strong replay value.
  • Compelling storyline that adds depth and keeps you invested.
  • Pay-once price with no IAP and offline play, offering great value.
  • Long-lasting gameplay with hours of content and high replayability.
  • Rich depth and progression, including brewery upgrades, staff, and events.
Cons
  • Unmaintained/compatibility issues on newer iPhones due to lack of updates.
  • Clunky, interrupt-prone UI that requires re-entering settings and disrupts play.
  • Occasional difficulty spikes that can hinder progression and be frustrating.

2023-12-27 At***** If you enjoy tycoon or management games, this is one of the best. Plus adds a great unexpected story into the mix. And definitely doesn’t make it easy on you, while still being super fun to play all day :)

2022-01-11 Ia***** A really fun game that’s simple but engaging. It has a fun story line and brings me back to when I used to home brew. I’m most of the way through my first time playing and I can tell you this game is a bargain. I can see myself playing through again. It also takes up very little space and barely touches the battery on my iPhone 6s.

2019-07-20 Ab***** It’s always nice to find games that are worth the full price and I’m happy to say Fiz is one of those games. The management aspects were great, very engaging and surprisingly replayable. Fun writing and characters kept me glued to the story. Great job on this. I hope other people can enjoy it.

2019-02-11 Ma***** So let me first say that I like this game a lot. If you’re a fan of typical management simulators, you’ll probably like it. Affordable with hours of play, and no in app purchases. But there are a few issues I’d like to address: - I wish there was some way to skip the tutorial, it’s a small thing, but it gets annoying whenever you start a new game. On that same front, I wish there was a way to load an auto save from a day before or a few days before if you make a mistake. -one of the biggest issues I have is the way the sales and competitors beers work. First of all it doesn’t seem to make sense the way the budget and thirst indicators are laid out. I went through a whole game thinking I understood it only to read more forums and find out I was completely wrong. I feel like it would be much more intuitive to have budget be how much they would spend on each beer, and thirst be an indicator of how many beers they are going to buy. Also when it comes to selling your beers, even when I do it right, it doesn’t seem to work out. For example, I see that the beer of choice is fat and away an IPA based on 50 customers, I see that there are only 2 beers being sold and they are both lagers with an average quality of 400 and a markup of 3.0, since I can’t see the price of the other beers, I assume you have made the customers decision to buy based solely on quality, preference, and markup. I then sell my IPA with a quality of 500 and a markup of 2.0. The batch sells out fine, but under sales feedback, there are still people saying that they are choosing the competitors beer over mine even though it’s not their favorite style because the quality is that much better. NONE of these things are true, I am stocking their favorite style, with a higher quality, and a lower markup, it makes no sense. - also as far as markup and pricing go, when you get into brewing better more expensive beers to make, often you go to sell it and you can’t mark it up almost at all if you want to stay in the customers budget, not to mention that if you bring the markup up to wear competitors beers are they won’t sell and people complain that their too expensive. I wish that budget would go up accordingly as you progress in the game and brew more expensive beers I hope that all made sense, I haven’t actually complete the game due to frustration a few times, I know this game is a few years old, but I think it could be really good if a few of these issues could be fixed. Thanks!

2016-08-20 Ol***** One of the best executed management games out there. Hadn't played it in a while, picked it up again recently and it feels just as fresh.
