Furthermore, the lack of oversight and reliability in the results is downright unsafe. I attempted to use this app in Rome last week and the nearest ‘bathroom’ that it directed me to ended up being a dead end in a dirty alley far from the main areas- as a woman alone I quickly realized that not only was there no bathroom, but I was in a very dangerous area. The false data on this app could easily be used to lure unsuspecting tourists into unsafe situations.
