User Reviews

Players praise King's League: Odyssey for fun, depth, and a no-ads, non-mandatory-pay model. However, the game is plagued by crashes and save/load issues, very short endgame content, and monetization/recruitment frustrations that hurt long-term playability. These technical problems and progression blockers appear consistently across reviews, dampening the otherwise enjoyable strategy experience.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging core gameplay with surprising depth and strong replayability
  • Depth and strategic variety allow trying different unit compositions
  • No ads and no mandatory spending, making it approachable for casual players
  • Accessible, low‑intensity strategy that’s easy to pick up and can be played in short bursts
  • Gameplay supports quick, repeatable sessions without waiting for energy refills
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and save/load issues that disrupt playing and progress
  • Very short endgame/limited content with a sense of finishing the game quickly
  • Monetization concerns: purchasing units is tied to a single save and does not unlock across saves
  • Recruitment is limited to three standard units and special units can be locked behind bugs or are not consistently obtainable
  • Ongoing recruitment bugs and occasional crashes during recruitment attempts

The game was a lot of fun, but it was also super short. After 1.5 hours, I did everything the game had to offer. I could have probably leveled up each character and class, but to what end? There were no more battles. There are IAP’s (which I’m biased against for any paid game), but they’re completely unnecessary as you’ll become OP pretty quickly after starting to play. I wish I had grabbed this at $1, as anything above that seems too much for the amount of content.
