Nearly 4 out of 10 Burgernet cases are solved thanks to tips from participants. The more people take part, the greater the chance that something or someone will be found.

How Burgernet works Burgernet is used in cases such as theft or burglary, hit-and-run accidents, robbery, and missing persons. Through the Burgernet app, you receive an alert whenever something like this happens in your area. Have you seen something? Then you can contact the police directly through the app.

AMBER Alert Through the Burgernet app, you also receive AMBER Alerts when a missing child is in life-threatening danger. You can recognize an AMBER Alert by the orange color and the title AMBER Alert.

About the app The app uses your smartphone’s location to send you notifications about incidents in your area — even when you’re away from home. Participation is anonymous; your personal data or location are not tracked.
