User Reviews

Users praise TrueFire for its extensive library and high-quality instructors, plus useful tools like slow-motion playback and downloadable notation. However, many reports center on the app’s instability and confusing UI, including crashes, freezing, unresponsive controls, and navigation quirks. Playback reliability is another recurring gripe (inconsistent autoplay and video cutouts). Pricing concerns also pop up: All-Access sometimes feels misleading, with additional purchases for jam tracks. Overall, learners value the content and instruction but want a more stable, intuitive app experience and clearer pricing.
Pros
  • Massive library of courses with many expert instructors
  • High-quality instruction with clear teaching style
  • Useful learning tools like slow-motion playback and downloadable notation
  • Content is valuable and widely used; perceived as worth the cost
  • Offers diverse styles and practical guidance from experienced teachers
Cons
  • Frequent instability: crashes, freezes, and unresponsive controls
  • Unintuitive UI and navigation issues (no standard back button, popups, hard to navigate)
  • Playback and autoplay issues; scrubbing unreliable; video cuts out
  • All-Access pricing can be misleading; additional purchases for jam tracks
  • Occasional login/account problems and content not accessible across devices

After two hours of trying, I can login on my phone but not my iPad. I am so sick of this stupid program.

Crashes. Glitches
by So*****, 2026-05-07

I’d buy more courses if they updated the glitchy app. Feels the same today as it did 5 years ago - and it wasn’t good then! The buttons aren’t very responsive, and sometimes totally non responsive. Freezes. Selecting portions of the song to loop is a chore. The list goes on and on. It’s an app I use a lot despite the experience. Would consider All Access with an overhaul.
