UOR Air Quality

Live air quality from the University of Raparin's own station and nearby cities: AQI, PM2.5, forecasts, a city map and Home Screen widgets.

UOR Air Quality is the official air-quality app of the General Directorate of the Research Center at the University of Raparin. It shows the same data as the website gwrc-airstation.uor.edu.krd: measurements from the university's air-quality and weather station, together with air-quality and weather data from Open-Meteo for other cities.

Air quality

• The current Air Quality Index (US AQI) for your city, colour-coded by level
• PM2.5 and other pollutants, with a short explanation of every term
• Health advice based on the current air quality
• History charts: hourly, daily and monthly
• Cities ranked from cleanest to most polluted right now

Weather

• Temperature, humidity and wind
• 24-hour and 7-day forecast

Map

• Every city on one map, coloured by air quality
• Tap a city to see its details

Alerts and widgets

• An optional daily air-quality notification
• An optional alert when air quality passes a level you choose
• Home Screen widgets for the AQI, pollutants and weather

Your location stays on your phone. If you allow location access, the app uses it only to find the nearest station, and the coordinates are never sent to our servers. You can also choose your city yourself.

No account is needed. Sign-in exists only for authorised research staff, to compare cities and export data.

The app is free, has no advertising, and is available in Kurdish, Arabic, English, Persian and Turkish.
