Been Here turns your walks into a personal map of discovery. Start a trip and watch the covering lift from Apple Maps as you explore. Every saved walk contributes to one continuous map, wherever you go.

RECORD AT YOUR OWN PACE Start, pause, resume, and finish your walks. See active time and distance as you go, with background recording while your iPhone is locked.

MAKE THE MAP YOURS Choose from three appearances: Dusk, Cloudscape, and Paper Trails. Adjust opacity, change the width of your uncovered paths, and explore standard or satellite maps. Appearance changes apply to all your saved trips.

KEEP YOUR WALKING HISTORY Review each trip's route, date, duration, and distance. Delete a trip to remove its contribution to your explored map.

CONTINUE ACROSS GPS GAPS Been Here filters location jumps and reconstructs connections between reliable points. You can adjust a connection in a finished trip. Reconstructed paths and distances may differ from your actual walk.

YOUR TRIPS, YOUR ICLOUD Trips are saved on your iPhone and sync privately between devices signed in to the same iCloud account. No separate Been Here account, advertising, or subscriptions.

Requires iOS 26 or later. Map loading and iCloud sync require an internet connection. Background location recording can affect battery life. Been Here is an exploration journal, not a navigation or safety service.
