Going alone is the hard part. Post what you're already doing, say how many spots are open, and let someone take one.

OpenSpot is for the night you want to go out and nobody is free.

You post one specific plan. An escape room on Saturday at 2. A board game cafe on Thursday. The Whitney on Sunday afternoon. You say how many spots are open, and people take them. That's the whole thing.

It is not a dating app and it is not a feed of what's happening in the city. It's a plan with empty seats, and a way for someone to sit down.

WHAT YOU CAN DO • Post a plan with the date, time, place, cost, and how many people you need • Browse plans by type, by language, or women only • Join with a nickname, no account and no sign-up • Chat with the people in your plan, in a group, never one to one • Check in when you arrive so the group knows • Share a plan straight to a friend, with the time, place and who's coming

BUILT FOR GOING ALONE Every plan carries the same five rules: public places only, arrive and leave on your own, send the plan to a friend first, everyone pays their own way, and leave the moment it feels wrong.

Check-in records a time, never a location. Your birth date never leaves your phone. There are no ads, no tracking, and nothing to sell.

You can limit a plan to women only, or set the language it runs in, so you know what you're walking into.

REPORT AND BLOCK Everything posted passes an automated filter. Report is on every plan and anyone can use it. A plan reported by two people is hidden automatically. Block stops you seeing someone, and a host can remove anyone from their own plan.
