A TIMELINE BUILT FOR A THUMB Trim, split, reorder and duplicate clips on a timeline you can actually hit, at a zoom that makes a single frame reachable. Every step is undoable, and the preview shows the finished video rather than a guess you only see at export. Nine transitions sit between clips.

COLOUR YOU CONTROL 21 filters with adjustable intensity, plus 14 manual adjustments: brightness, contrast, saturation, exposure, highlights, shadows, temperature, tint, vibrance, hue, fade, sharpness, vignette and grain. Add eight effects — Shake, RGB Split, Glitch, VHS, Light Leak, Film Burn, Bokeh and Strobe.

CAPTIONS, WRITTEN OFFLINE Captions come from the clip's own speech, word by word, recognised on the device. No audio or transcript is sent anywhere. Correct a line and your edit survives regeneration. Set the font, size, colour and position once and every line follows.

CUT OUT THE BACKGROUND Separate a person from the background without a green screen. Blur the original background, replace it with a colour, or remove it entirely.

TEXT, STICKERS AND EMOJI 16 typefaces, 572 drawn stickers, 603 drawn emoji and 46 aesthetic overlays. Place, scale and rotate anything anywhere in the frame, then pin it to the part of the clip where it belongs.

SOUND Bring in music, record a voiceover against the preview, and shape both: trim, loop, fade, duck the original audio and set volume per clip. Seven voice effects range from Chipmunk to Cave.

SPEED AND FRAME Change video speed from 0.25x to 4x, with pitch preserved unless you want it otherwise. Choose from eight canvas presets — 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, 3:4, 4:3, 21:9 and original — over a colour or blurred copy of the frame.

EXPORT Export up to 4K at 60 fps in MP4 or MOV, using H.264 or HEVC, with bitrate control when you want it. Finished videos go straight to your photo library and into an album of their own.

PRIVACY, PLAINLY The app makes no network requests. There is no account, analytics, tracking or third-party data sharing. Camera, microphone, photo library and speech recognition are requested only when needed, and speech recognition runs on the device.

FREE, AND PRO The editor is free and unlimited — no export count, project cap or trial clock. Free exports include a small watermark and support up to 720p.

Video Editor Pro removes the watermark and unlocks 4K at 60 fps, captions, background removal, every filter, effect, font, sticker, emoji and voice effect, extra transitions, MOV, HEVC and custom bitrate export.
