HOW IT WORKS kame needs an internet connection: articles are fetched and voices are generated on kame's servers, then streamed to your phone a sentence at a time. Most news stories, blog posts and encyclopedia pages work well. Pages behind a paywall or login, or sites that block automated access, may not load.

kame means "turtle" in Japanese. It is unhurried, and it gets there.
