Imposter: Word Party

Everyone gets the same word. Except the imposter.

Gather 3–16 players, choose your word packs and pass one phone around the table. Press and hold to reveal your word or discover you're an imposter. Let go and the card hides it again.

Take turns giving clues. Listen for the player who's bluffing, discuss your suspicions and vote together. Can the imposter blend in long enough to fool everyone?

Make each round your own:

• Choose from 13 categories with more than 6,400 words and phrases. • Mix 600 songs from the 1980s to today's hits into your pool, alongside music artists, instruments and genres. • Add your own packs by typing, pasting or importing a text file. • Arrange players in the order you'll pass the phone. • Play with up to three imposters and an optional discussion timer. • Enable word hints to give each imposter a clue. They may receive different hints. • Choose a light or dark appearance, or follow your device settings.

From food and animals to films, famous faces and video games, pick the subjects your group knows best. Add inside jokes, favourite places or a pack for a special occasion, then deal another round.
